Job title Research Analyst Role Summary Provide in‑depth analysis of traditional and market data providers to inform institutional investor clients. Conduct competitive landscape research, produce polished research reports, and communicate findings to clients and internal teams to support the growth of the Ranger data offering. Expectations * Deliver clear, actionable research and insights that resonate with hedge funds, asset managers and other buy‑side clients. * Build and maintain long‑term relationships with market data vendors and institutional buyers. * Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Research product offerings, pricing models and distribution strategies of leading market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, S&P, etc.). * Map and evaluate the competitive landscape, identifying differentiators and market gaps. * Engage with buy‑side clients to understand their traditional data workflows, challenges and use cases. * Compare and contrast market data products against client needs; assess value, delivery frequency, history, and USPs. * Produce high‑quality written reports and presentations that highlight industry trends, insights and strategic recommendations. * Present findings on research calls, market developments and conference sessions. Required Skills * Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex data insights into clear, persuasive reports. * Strong research and analytical skills with a focus on market data ecosystems. * Deep knowledge of market data types (exchange pricing, reference data, corporate actions, etc.) and their uses by institutional investors. * Familiarity with major market data providers and their product portfolios. * Experience engaging with institutional clients, preferably on the buy‑side. * Strong time‑management and multi‑tasking ability. * Intellectual curiosity and proactive learning mindset. Required Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Sciences, Business, or a related field. * Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, Bloomberg Market Concepts) are a plus but not mandatory.
