**Job Title:**
AWS Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and optimize enterprise‑scale, secure, and cost‑effective AWS solutions for wealth‑management applications within a financial client environment. Drive cloud‑native architecture adoption (microservices, serverless, containerization), ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and governance, and mentor development and operations teams on AWS best practices.
**Expectations:**
- 8+ years of AWS architecture experience at enterprise level, preferably in finance.
- Proven track record of designing scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient cloud solutions.
- Strong communication and mentoring abilities to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Collaborate with Wealth application teams to design scalable, secure, AWS‑based solutions.
2. Define and advocate cloud‑native architecture patterns (microservices, serverless, containers).
3. Integrate core AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, IAM) into application workflows.
4. Ensure adherence to client enterprise architecture standards and cloud governance policies.
5. Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
6. Conduct architecture reviews, provide optimization and compliance recommendations.
7. Advise on security, performance, and cost‑management best practices.
8. Perform cloud readiness assessments and devise migration strategies for legacy applications.
9. Design and automate CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools (CodePipeline, CodeBuild).
10. Provide technical mentorship and troubleshoot architecture‑related issues during implementation.
11. Translate business requirements into effective cloud solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in AWS core services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, IAM).
- Proficiency with IaC (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Strong understanding of microservices, serverless, and containerization patterns.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and cloud governance.
- Experience with AWS security, performance tuning, and cost‑optimization.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD automation on AWS.
- Excellent troubleshooting, mentoring, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (highly desirable).
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (highly desirable).
- Additional AWS certifications (Security, Advanced Networking) are a plus.
