Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Bioinformatician – Translational & Clinical Development **Role Summary:** Lead the analysis and integration of multi‑omics and clinical data from patient studies to uncover biomarkers, elucidate mechanisms of action, and support clinical decision‑making. Develop and maintain reproducible pipelines that meet regulatory standards and deliver actionable insights to multidisciplinary teams. **Expectations:** - 5–10 years of professional experience in translational or clinical bioinformatics within a business setting. - Proven ability to translate complex omics data into clinically relevant conclusions and deliver high‑quality reports, visualizations, and presentations. - Independent work with strong time‑management, coupled with effective collaboration across scientific, clinical, and project teams. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Process, analyze, and interpret patient‑level molecular datasets (bulk/single‑cell RNA‑seq, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenomics). 2. Design, implement, and validate robust, reproducible bioinformatics pipelines using R/Python, HPC, cloud, and container technologies. 3. Apply pathway, network, functional enrichment, and causal inference methods to extract clinical insights. 4. Integrate omics data with clinical variables to identify biomarkers of response, safety, and patient stratification. 5. Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and clinical regulatory standards (GxP, FAIR). 6. Produce analytical reports, visualizations, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including scientific publications. 7. Contribute to internal documentation, study reports, and peer‑reviewed manuscripts. **Required Skills:** - Advanced expertise in patient‑level omics analysis (bulk & single‑cell RNA‑seq, proteomics, epigenomics, spatial data). - Proficiency in R and/or Python; experience with HPC, cloud platforms, and containerization (Docker). - Strong statistical, data‑mining, and visualization foundations. - Knowledge of clinical study design, data privacy, and regulatory‑compliant analytics. - Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder‑management capabilities. - Fluent in English. **Required Education & Certifications:** - PhD or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a closely related field. - Demonstrated experience in a commercial/consulting environment conducting translational or clinical bioinformatics. ---
