**Job Title:** DataPower Developer
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and implement IBM DataPower solutions to enable and secure data flow across enterprise systems, including mobile applications, cloud services, and legacy mainframe platforms. Collaborate closely with technical teams to integrate and optimize data exchange processes.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver robust DataPower configurations and policies aligned with architectural standards.
- Ensure high‑availability, security, and performance of data integration points.
- Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, and code reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and support to peers and stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, configure, and maintain DataPower gateways, services, and policies (XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, JSON).
- Implement security controls such as SSL/TLS, OAuth, JWT, and WS‑Security.
- Integrate DataPower with backend systems (mainframe, web services, APIs, cloud platforms).
- Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of DataPower appliances.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and technical specifications.
- Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing of DataPower solutions.
- Support production incidents and provide post‑implementation support.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong experience with IBM DataPower Gateway (configuration, scripting, policy development).
- Proficiency in XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, JSON, and related transformation technologies.
- Knowledge of network protocols (HTTP/S, TCP/IP) and security standards (TLS, OAuth, SAML, JWT).
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and API management.
- Experience with legacy mainframe connectivity (IBM MQ, CICS, DB2) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for deployment and monitoring.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- IBM Certified DataPower Gateway Developer or equivalent certification preferred.
- Additional certifications in security (CISSP, CISM) or cloud platforms are a plus.
