Job Description
Job Title: Analytics Lead Role Summary: Lead the foundation of analytics operations, designing data models, building self‑service dashboards, and translating business questions into actionable insights. Serve as the first analytics hire, collaborating with data and business teams to establish best practices, optimize performance, and empower colleagues through data capability building. Expectations: - Own end‑to‑end analytics workflow from data modeling to dashboard delivery. - Act as trusted partner for stakeholders, identifying gaps and driving improvements. - Mentor teammates in data literacy and best practices. - Deliver high‑quality, reusable analytics products that support decision‑making at scale. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and document dimensional data models using dbt, following DRY principles. - Collaborate on data warehouse structure, query optimization, and performance tuning. - Build and maintain analytics tables, metrics, and dashboards in a modern BI tool (Omni or Looker). - Create self‑service analytical frameworks to enable teams to answer routine questions without custom analysis. - Define metrics, measurement frameworks, and success criteria with stakeholders. - Conduct deep‑dive analyses to uncover insights and present findings through dashboards, reports, and live discussions. - Proactively identify and rectify gaps in the analytics stack, driving continuous improvement. Required Skills: - 3–6+ years in analytics, analytics engineering, data engineering, or data science. - Proven experience in data modeling and analytics engineering, preferably dbt. - Advanced SQL proficiency, including query optimization for large datasets. - Hands‑on experience with at least one modern BI platform (Omni, Looker). - Working knowledge of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). - Familiarity with ELT/ETL tools and modern data pipelines. - Strong analytical intuition and ability to measure meaningful metrics. - Excellent communication and teaching skills; comfortable bridging data and business perspectives. - Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Certifications in dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar analytics tools are an advantage.
