Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager – Degree Apprenticeship Role Summary: Receive practical experience managing multi‑million‑pound projects while gaining academic knowledge. Work across client sites in the UK, supporting senior project managers with budgeting, risk, stakeholder and progress management. Expectations: - Complete a one‑day per week study programme that meets university or professional standards. - Contribute to live projects from early stages, delivering tangible impact. - Develop competencies aligned with a competent Project Manager role. Key Responsibilities: - Assist project managers in issue resolution, budget reviews, risk management, stakeholder engagement and status reporting. - Review and maintain project documentation and project management board deliverables. - Organise and attend project meetings, produce minutes and action items with SMART objectives. - Produce project reports, management information and other administration tasks. - Communicate effectively with internal staff at all levels and external partners. Required Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Strong organisational and time‑management abilities. - Tech‑savvy with proficiency in common project‑management and collaboration tools. - Ability to follow instructions and work independently within a team. Required Education & Certifications: - GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Level 6 or higher. - Either: minimum of 3 A‑Levels; or Level 3 BTEC qualification; or Level 4 Apprenticeship; or relevant commercial/industry experience obtained while studying. Applicable certifications to be pursued during the apprenticeship: APM Project Management Diploma (supported by the employer).
