Job Description
Job title Head of Sales – Events Venue Role Summary Lead the revenue generation and strategic sales function for a high‑profile creative events venue. Develop and implement data‑driven sales strategies, build and nurture key client relationships, and collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Brand teams to deliver seamless, high‑value events. Drive new business, optimize sales processes, and manage financial performance to meet quarterly and annual targets. Expactations - Deliver on revenue targets and KPIs consistently across all sales channels. - Grow market share in the London venue and agency marketplace. - Maintain and enhance the venue’s brand positioning and customer experience. - Provide accurate forecasts, budgets, and financial reports to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute the venue’s sales strategy, aligning with corporate objectives. - Lead, coach, and grow a high‑performance sales team, overseeing all stages of the sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing. - Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, brands, partners, and venue‑finding networks. - Collaborate with Marketing to design and deliver data‑driven campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue. - Work with Operations to ensure smooth handover from sales to event delivery, upholding operational excellence. - Manage budgets, P&L statements, and financial reporting; reconcile sales revenue with finance. - Provide insights and reporting to senior leadership on performance, trends, and opportunities. - Champion the venue’s identity and standards across all sales and marketing activities. - Lead ad‑hoc projects and initiatives as required by the dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Required Skills - 5+ years of senior sales leadership in event venues or experiential environments. - Proven ability to design, launch, and evolve commercial sales strategies. - Strong negotiation and deal‑closing skills with a record of profitable outcomes. - In‑depth knowledge of the London venue, agency, and creator market. - Experience managing budgets, P&Ls, and financial reporting. - Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, and collaborative leadership style. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. - Proficiency in G‑Suite, MS Office; CRM experience (HubSpot preferred). Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field. - Relevant sales or event industry certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional) are an advantage.
