Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead and manage a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining embedded audio‑visual and smart‑home solutions. Oversee project delivery, ensure coding standards and quality, onboard new team members, and serve as the internal‑external representation of the engineering organization. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality, maintainable code that meets functional and reliability criteria. - Maintain project momentum, prevent scope creep, and resolve blockers efficiently. - Foster a professional, collaborative team environment; act as a mentor and knowledge hub. - Represent engineering interests to internal partners and external customers. **Key Responsibilities:** - Allocate and balance workload across team members; create clear definitions of “done.” - Onboard new hires, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance. - Collaborate with Lead Engineers and peers on scheduling, resource allocation, and project status. - Escalate critical issues and ensure timely resolution. - Verify that requirements, designs, coding standards, and testing coverage satisfy quality goals. - Maintain CI/CD pipelines, Git/SVN workflows, and automated test suites. - Liaise with product, marketing, and sales to align engineering outputs with customer needs. - Participate in troubleshooting customer support tickets; provide rapid, effective solutions. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in C# (or comparable object‑oriented languages) and Golang. - Strong version control practices (Git, SVN) and experience with code reviews. - Solid understanding of test‑driven development, unit/integration testing, and continuous integration/deployment. - Experience in embedded systems, device drivers, or IoT within audio‑visual and residential automation domains. - Ability to translate functional requirements into robust system designs and proposals. - Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills. - Leadership experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience). - Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus but not mandatory.
