Job Description
**Job Title:** Junior Engineer, Pipelines **Role Summary:** Support pipeline and gas infrastructure projects within a regulated energy organization. Work under the supervision of a professional engineer, applying engineering fundamentals to design, calculations, and project documentation while maintaining adherence to processes, codes, and safety standards. Participate in cross‑functional collaboration with engineers, planners, and operations staff to deliver projects on time and within budget. **Expectations:** - Gain practical engineering experience through on‑the‑job training. - Demonstrate readiness to engage with professional engineering practices and EIT‑registration requirements. - Contribute to accurate and timely project documentation and deliverables. - Adapt to shifting priorities and maintain project schedule compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute assigned engineering tasks under professional engineer supervision. - Collaborate with stakeholder teams (EIT coordinators, managers, pipeline integrity, PMO, etc.). - Prepare plans, design calculations, cost estimates, bills of material, and catalogues per codes and specifications. - Ensure procedures, processes, and documentation meet quality and safety requirements. - Track project timelines and report status to management. - Apply established problem‑solving processes to address technical challenges. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications. - Effective written and verbal communication; ability to present clearly. - Ability to prioritize, organize multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities. - Team‑oriented, personable, and able to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred; Chemical or Process Engineering acceptable). - Eligible for registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (or equivalent provincial body). - Valid BC Class 5 (or equivalent provincial) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
