**Job Title:** Backend PHP/Laravel Developer
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, maintain, and optimize high‑quality applications using Laravel, PHP, and MySQL.
Lead the full software development life cycle: requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, unit and API testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver secure, efficient, and scalable code within established timelines.
- Communicate effectively with developers, stakeholders, and clients; provide technical guidance when needed.
- Maintain documentation of architecture, APIs, and test procedures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, code, test, deploy, and maintain internal and external PHP applications on Laravel.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks and defects.
- Write and update unit tests; execute automated and manual testing (Postman, PHPUnit).
- Participate in peer code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (front‑end, DevOps, QA, product) on feature delivery.
- Manage version control, branching, merging, and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Octopus).
- Monitor application health using APM tools (Elastic Search, Datadog) and implement improvements.
- Support production releases and post‑deployment monitoring.
**Required Skills:**
- 3+ years of professional experience with Laravel and MySQL.
- Strong grasp of SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
- Expertise in RESTful API development and SOAP services.
- Proficiency with version control, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, algorithms, and data structures.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English (minimum B1).
**Desired/Preferred Skills:**
- DevOps practices and tooling.
- AWS cloud platform familiarity.
- Experience with APM/monitoring solutions.
- Agile methodology background.
- Knowledge of the automotive sector.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Laravel Certified Developer, AWS Certified Developer) are a plus.
