Job Description
**Job title** Franchise Developer – Western Canada **Role Summary** A home‑based, influencing position focused on expanding the regional franchise portfolio through site identification, lease negotiation, candidate recruitment, and cross‑functional project management to deliver new openings and long‑term growth. **Expectations** - Drive end‑to‑end franchise development within Western Canada. - Work independently with high motivation and organizational discipline. - Maintain an 80–100 night annual travel schedule. - Present analytical findings to the Development Review Committee. **Key Responsibilities** - Identify and evaluate high‑potential sites using market tours, trade‑area analysis, and broker partnerships. - Negotiate lease terms and manage the lease process with franchise broker partners. - Recruit, vet, and present qualified franchise candidates; manage the transition from applicant to franchisee. - Maintain and analyze lead pipelines within the company’s cloud platform. - Coordinate design, construction, and operations teams to progress projects from approval to opening. - Manage internal feasibility requests, design submissions, Discovery Day sessions, and construction status calls. - Foster relationships with external stakeholders (brokers, developers, agents, lenders) and internal partners (Operations, Design, Construction). - Represent the company at industry events and community engagements. **Required Skills** - Site evaluation, trade‑area analysis, lease negotiation, and broker collaboration. - Strong analytical, negotiating, and project‑management capabilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to tailor presentations to diverse audiences. - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook). - Team‑oriented mindset with ability to build trust across functions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real‑estate, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 3–5 years real‑estate development experience, ideally in restaurant or multi‑unit franchising.
