Job Description
**Job Title** Geotechnical Engineering Service Manager (M/F) **Role Summary** Leads and manages a multidisciplinary geotechnical engineering team, overseeing project delivery, quality assurance, financial performance, and commercial growth. Acts as the strategic liaison between clients, the engineering department, and senior management. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality geotechnical solutions on time and within budget. - Drive profitability, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. - Cultivate a culture of safety, professional development, and continuous improvement. - Represent the organization in public and private sector tenders and business development activities. **Key Responsibilities** - Supervise and develop a team of 4 engineers, 1 assistant, 1 site supervisor, and 3 probe operators. - Plan, allocate, and balance assignments according to skills and workload. - Mentor staff, coordinate training, and promote expertise growth. - Enforce safety standards and compliance on all project sites. - Manage project life cycle: scope, schedule, budget, resources, and quality. - Draft technical and commercial proposals; respond to public and private tenders. - Monitor key performance indicators, financial metrics, and project profitability. - Support strategic planning and business development initiatives. - Maintain and expand existing client relationships; build new partnership opportunities. - Enhance company reputation through industry engagement and client interactions. **Required Skills** - Project management and team leadership. - Strong technical knowledge of geotechnical engineering (G1‑G5 standards). - Proficiency in project planning, cost control, and resource allocation. - Commercial acumen: proposal writing, pricing, tender processes. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management. - Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Fluency in English; French skills advantageous but not mandatory. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Applied Geology, or equivalent. - Minimum 5–8 years of proven experience in a geotechnical engineering consultancy or specialized firm. - Familiarity with public and private procurement processes. ---
