Job Description: Job Title: Senior Node.js Back‑End Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that power a real‑time compensation engine, including data pipelines, asynchronous jobs, and API services. Experiences: - 5+ years building production back‑end systems for SaaS products. - Hands‑on CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce) and handling time‑zone, currency, and sensitive financial data. - Deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Prisma ORM. - Proven experience with GCP, Redis, and BullMQ for distributed workloads. - Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools. Key Responsibilities: 1. Architect and implement microservices and APIs for the compensation engine. 2. Build and optimise asynchronous jobs and distributed queues. 3. Develop data pipelines to sync CRM and financial data from external sources. 4. Ensure data integrity across time zones, currencies, and sensitive records. 5. Tune PostgreSQL + Prisma for performance and reliability. 6. Collaborate on feature design, code reviews, and engineering best practices. 7. Contribute to technical decision‑making and roadmap planning. Required Skills: • Node.js & TypeScript (expert level) • PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM, query optimisation • GCP services, Redis, BullMQ, distributed processing • CRM integration (HubSpot, Salesforce) • Time‑zone and currency logic for financial data • Asynchronous workflows and queue management • Clean code practices, unit testing, and CI/CD • AI tool proficiency (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) • Strong communication and product‑focused mindset Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). • No mandatory certifications, but knowledge of database and cloud architecture frameworks is an asset.
