**Job Title:** DevOps & Cloud Operations Engineer (Mid‑Level)
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (Azure, GCP, Microsoft 365), and infrastructure‑as‑code while coordinating on‑premise server operations and external IT suppliers. Ensures platform reliability, security compliance, and cost efficiency across hybrid infrastructure.
**Expectations:**
- Operate CI/CD and IaC workflows autonomously within 3‑6 months.
- Maintain 99%+ uptime for cloud and on‑premise services.
- Deliver measurable cloud cost reductions and accurate usage reporting.
- Lead security audit support and contribute to ISO 27001 readiness.
- Serve as the internal point‑of‑contact for DevOps and cloud operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **DevOps Engineering (≈50%)**
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for .NET, Angular, and Next.js (Bitbucket, Azure DevOps).
- Develop and maintain Terraform IaC for multi‑cloud resources.
- Automate deployments, enforce environment consistency, and enhance monitoring/alerting/logging.
- Participate in incident response, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
- Drive cloud cost‑optimization initiatives and reporting.
- **Cloud & IT Operations Coordination (≈30%)**
- Liaise with external IT supplier for Azure, GCP, and Microsoft 365 onboarding/off‑boarding, identity access, and licensing management.
- Oversee M365 administration and transition device management (Intune/Endpoint Manager) to internal ownership.
- Manage inventories, access governance, and device lifecycle processes.
- **On‑Premise Server Coordination (subset of above)**
- Coordinate with external providers for physical server maintenance, upgrades, and incident handling.
- Track performance issues through resolution and support future hybrid infrastructure planning.
- **Security, Compliance & Audit Support (≈15%)**
- Assist with Cyber Essentials Plus compliance (target early 2026) and ISO 27001 implementation.
- Contribute to vulnerability management, patch oversight, and secure configuration reviews.
- **Documentation & Continuous Improvement (≈5%)**
- Keep cloud, IT, and DevOps documentation up‑to‑date.
- Propose architectural, tooling, and process enhancements.
- Pursue relevant certifications and self‑directed learning.
**Required Skills:**
- 2‑5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, system administration, or related infrastructure roles.
- Proficient with CI/CD tools: Bitbucket, Azure DevOps; pipelines for .NET, Angular, Next.js.
- Strong Terraform expertise (IaC) across Azure and GCP.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Ability to perform incident response, root‑cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of cloud cost‑management and reporting practices.
- Experience coordinating with external suppliers and managing on‑premise server environments.
- Understanding of security frameworks: Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, vulnerability management.
- Good documentation practices and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred certifications (or willingness to obtain):
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate / Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- Google Cloud Associate Engineer / Professional Cloud Engineer
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification.
