**Job Title:** Data & Insights Specialist (12 Month Fixed Term)
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for end‑to‑end data lifecycle management—collection, cleaning, engineering, analysis, and reporting—to enable data‑driven decision‑making. Leverages Microsoft Fabric and BI tools to transform raw data into actionable insights that support strategic initiatives and improve business performance.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver accurate, timely data analyses and visualizations aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain data integrity across cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovative analytics solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collect, clean, and process data from databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and Fabric‑supported sources.
- Design, develop, and manage Fabric Dataflows, Pipelines, and Lakehouse structures for automated ingestion and transformation.
- Perform statistical analysis, machine‑learning modeling, and data mining to extract insights.
- Translate business requirements into analytical tasks; conduct exploratory analysis using Fabric‑integrated tools.
- Produce ad‑hoc and scheduled reports/dashboards in Direct Lake mode and semantic models.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project scope, prioritize tasks, and meet data needs.
- Provide actionable recommendations to partners and stakeholders based on analytical results.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging BI technologies; propose enhancements.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows, Pipelines, Lakehouse, Power BI integration).
- Strong SQL skills; programming experience in Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation and analysis.
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.).
- Solid statistical and machine‑learning knowledge for insight generation.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple projects and priorities independently and within a team.
- Bilingual French/English considered an asset.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a comparable role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Power BI, or equivalent) are advantageous.
