Job Description
Job title: Junior Data Scientist Role Summary: Business‑focused analyst who applies data science techniques to inform strategy, uncover customer insights, and drive optimisation. Expactations: Deliver actionable insights, maintain data quality, champion automation, and ensure compliance with GDPR. Work independently while supporting the BI & Data team. Key Responsibilities: • Produce analytical reports on customer behaviour and performance trends. • Build and maintain dashboards and data models for strategic initiatives. • Automate data pipelines, improve data development processes, and enforce data standards. • Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline data flows and support business objectives. • Uphold Data Protection Act and GDPR compliance across all projects. Required Skills: • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. • Experience with SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). • Knowledge of data automation, quality assurance, and modern data tooling. • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and communicate findings clearly. • Awareness of emerging AI/ML technologies and data‑privacy regulations. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. • Certifications in data analytics (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) are advantageous.
