**Job title**
DevOps Engineer – PHP/Symfony (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Design, maintain, and evolve the CI/CD pipeline and applied infrastructure for internal ERP and supplementary services. Act as the interface between development and operations, ensuring reliable, performant, and automated environments. Support the PHP/Symfony code base when necessary and promote DevOps best practices across the team.
**Expectations**
- Deliver fully automated, scalable deployment processes.
- Ensure high availability, stability, and security of development, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate closely with developers to align tooling with application needs.
- Continuously improve observability, performance, and infrastructure efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for all internal projects.
- Manage Docker images, Dockerfiles, and internal container orchestration.
- Implement and maintain observability stack (logging, monitoring, alerting).
- Secure CI/CD chain: GitLab permissions, registry, dependency scanning, secret management.
- Automate repetitive tasks via scripts and internal tools.
- Participate in major ERP enhancements and linked systems.
- Introduce advanced CI/CD, automated testing, and extended containerization where applicable.
- Contribute to projects involving AI, document integration, API/EDI, and architectural decisions.
- Assist developers in PHP 8/Symfony projects and, optionally, JavaScript/VueJS.
- Monitor application performance, identify incidents, and resolve deployment or environment issues.
- Advise on resource optimization and continuity of internal services.
**Required Skills**
- Expert knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and automated pipelines.
- Strong Docker proficiency: image creation, optimization, simple orchestration.
- Linux systems administration; Bash scripting for automation.
- Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management.
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Loki, Grafana).
- Capable of troubleshooting pipelines, deployments, and environment issues.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes (installation, deployment, debugging) is an asset.
- PHP 8 and Symfony fundamentals; ability to collaborate on code reviews and development.
- Understanding of web architectures, APIs, and PHP application environments.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript/VueJS (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong self‑direction, rigor, and a drive for continuous automation and improvement.
- Excellent collaboration skills in a fast‑growing PME environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant DevOps certifications (e.g., Docker Certified Associate, Kubernetes Administrator, GitLab CI Labs) are preferred.
