Job title: Manager, Player Engagement Role Summary: Lead player‑centered initiatives to maximize use of NBPA value‑added services and create a premier offseason destination at the new LA facility. Serve as the primary liaison between players, stakeholders, and internal teams, driving high‑touch experiences and continuous engagement improvement. Expectations: Deliver exceptional personalized support; increase player utilization of services; maintain accurate CRM records and engagement calendars; cultivate industry relationships; operate with high discretion and cultural competence; support remote work with travel to NYC & LA as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Increase utilization of NBPA services by developing and executing curated, high‑touch player experiences. - Maintain and update CRM database with detailed interaction and engagement histories. - Manage the player engagement calendar, aligning touchpoints with seasonal cycles and player availability. - Coordinate with basketball operations and training staff to ensure integrated off‑season programs. - Build and sustain relationships with teams, leagues, unions, and performance partners to expand engagement opportunities. - Monitor and report on engagement metrics; recommend continuous improvement strategies. - Collaborate with the central Player Experience team to align local initiatives with broader organizational goals. Required Skills: - 3+ years in player services, athlete engagement, sports operations, or talent management. - Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and discretion. - Ability to manage autonomy in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment. - Proficiency using CRM or similar engagement‑tracking platforms. - Knowledge of basketball operations, offseason training, and professional athlete performance needs. - Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Job Title: Player Operations, Research & Analytics Summer Intern Role Summary Support the National Basketball Players Association’s Player Operations by collecting, managing, and analyzing player data across the entire career lifecycle. Provide insights for program development, strategic activations, and board reporting, ensuring data integrity within Salesforce. Expactations Assist with holistic player tracking, data accuracy, strategic analysis, reporting, and research to inform career longevity studies, TAMS initiatives, free-agent activities, family engagement, and post-retirement planning. Key Responsibilities - Maintain and update a comprehensive system tracking career milestones, off‑court ventures, and engagement metrics for all player segments. - Ensure accurate, up‑to‑date player information in Salesforce; resolve discrepancies and enforce data quality standards. - Compile, analyze, and visualize data on career trajectories, education, and interests; identify trends for program development. - Prepare statistical reports, dashboards, and narrative insights for quarterly Ed Trust Board meetings and internal strategy sessions. - Provide data support for Player Operations activations, including career length studies, TAMS, tier analysis, and family engagement initiatives. - Conduct targeted research on player career interests and social media presence to guide engagement tactics. - Support program planning, material creation, and administrative tasks driven by analytics needs. - Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline data collection, tracking, and engagement workflows.
