Job Description
Job title: Senior Engineer Role Summary: Lead engineering tasks for a reinforced concrete hospital replacement project, supervising a small team, ensuring design, safety, quality and compliance with industry standards. Expectations: - Deliver technical solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements. - Foster professional development of junior engineers. - Maintain rigorous documentation and quality assurance processes. Key Responsibilities - Manage a team of 2‑4 Section Engineers, providing technical guidance. - Apply and recommend best engineering methods and design practices. - Develop and review design processes, RAMS, method statements, and Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) arrangements. - Interpret as‑built drawings and ensure accurate representation in design. - Prepare QA documentation, records, and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITP). - Coordinate material and plant schedules, including call‑off logistics. - Monitor and enforce site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) procedures. - Support overall project delivery and quality objectives. Required Skills - Proficient in reinforced concrete structural design and analysis. - Strong knowledge of RAMS, QA/QC, ITP, and method statement development. - Leadership and team management experience. - Excellent technical communication and documentation skills. - Understanding of temporary works and coordination requirements. - Awareness of construction site safety and environmental standards. Required Education & Certifications - Degree in Civil Engineering or related construction discipline, or an industry‑recognised technical/engineering qualification. - Minimum of 6 years relevant technical/practical engineering experience, including structural project delivery.
