Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Oversees end-to-end software release management for IBM i/IBM z environments, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient application deployments for financial systems. Drives automation, cross-functional collaboration, and DevOps culture adoption. Expectations: Deliver reliable CI/CD pipelines, enforce compliance (e.g., SOX, SOC2), standardize DevOps practices, and modernize legacy financial systems through automation and hybrid cloud integration. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, deploy, and optimize DevOps pipelines for IBM i/IBM z platforms. - Administer source control and deployment tools (e.g., MD Change, ChangeMan). - Automate CI/CD workflows for RPG, COBOL, CL, JCL codebases. - Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to standardize processes. - Integrate DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow) for audit readiness. - Ensure regulatory compliance through change control, audit trails, and rollback protocols. - Develop automation scripts for provisioning, deployment, and monitoring. - Support API enablement, microservices integration, and cloud connectivity for legacy financial systems. Required Skills: - CI/CD pipeline design and release management. - IBM i (AS/400) and IBM z platform expertise. - Proficiency in RPG, COBOL, JCL, CL, and DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow). - Scripting/automation (provisioning, deployment, monitoring). - Regulatory compliance (SOX, SOC2). - Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field. - 10+ years of professional experience in DevOps, IBM i/IBM z environments, and financial systems.
