**Job Title:**
Consultant – Big Data / AI
**Role Summary:**
A senior consultant joins an agile (Scrum/Kanban) team of ~10 to design, develop, and maintain data‑warehousing and reporting solutions using SAP HANA/BW, SAP BI4, QlikView, Power BI, Tableau, and big‑data platforms. The role involves gathering business requirements, defining architectures, implementing JavaScript‑based applications and REST APIs, and supporting deployment, testing, and post‑production maintenance on AWS/GCP environments.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 5 + years of professional experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, and cloud (AWS or GCP).
- Proven expertise in big‑data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Storm, Pig) and data‑visualisation tools.
- Ability to work autonomously, with strong organization, rigor, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate in an agile team to develop and test new client data‑warehouses and reporting solutions.
- Conduct business‑needs analysis and translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Design and implement REST APIs and algorithmic components.
- Write detailed functional and technical documentation.
- Provide functional and technical support to internal teams and external clients.
- Prepare test data sets, execute integration tests, and support user‑acceptance testing.
- Assist in production rollout and ensure smooth go‑live.
- Participate in corrective and evolutionary maintenance of existing applications.
**Required Skills:**
- Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript (front‑end & back‑end).
- API development: RESTful services.
- Cloud platforms: AWS and/or GCP.
- Big‑data frameworks: Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Storm, Pig).
- Data‑visualisation/reporting: SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP BI 4, QlikView, Power BI, Tableau.
- Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban.
- Data‑modeling, data‑warehouse design, ETL processes.
- Testing: integration, UAT support.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s to Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (BAC + 3 to BAC + 8).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, or Big‑Data certifications) are a plus.
