Job Description
Job title: Website Designer – Contractor Role Summary: Mid‑weight contractor responsible for creating visually engaging, user‑centric website designs across multiple platforms. Works collaboratively with developers, product and marketing teams to translate creative concepts into functional digital experiences. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality, responsive web designs on schedule; maintain consistency with brand guidelines; iterate designs based on user feedback; communicate design decisions clearly; adapt to hybrid working arrangements; support cross‑functional stakeholder collaboration. Key Responsibilities: - Design responsive, interactive web pages for desktop and mobile. - Produce wireframes, mock‑ups, and high‑fidelity prototypes. - Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries. - Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications. - Conduct usability testing and incorporate findings into design iterations. - Manage and deliver design assets and documentation. Required Skills: - Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator). - Strong visual design foundation (typography, color, layout). - Knowledge of responsive/web standards and interaction design. - Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and JavaScript for design feasibility. - Ability to produce polished, user‑centric designs from concept to handoff. - Portfolio of recent web design projects. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, or related field. - Certifications in UX/UI (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, Adobe Certified Expert) are preferred.
