Job Description
**Job Title** ETL Developer (Freelance – Long Term) **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions for a healthcare insurance data warehouse. Analyze functional and technical requirements, create and test SQL/SSIS packages, optimize performance, and support master data management and legacy migration projects. Collaborate with architects and data team members to ensure robust data modeling and integration across on‑premise SQL Server and Azure-based services. **Expectations** * Minimum 5 years of ETL development experience with T‑SQL and SSIS. * Higher education degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s). * Bilingual in Dutch and French; proficient in English. * Strong knowledge of MS SQL 2019/2022 (Standard Edition), SSIS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory/Fabric, and Databricks. * Experience with batch and streaming ETL (Kafka, etc.), data warehousing (DataVault), and Power BI. * Familiarity with legacy migration, data modeling, and data access techniques. * Agile/SCRUM experience is a plus. * Analytical, goal‑oriented, independent, quality‑focused, and effective team player. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Analyze functional and technical intake to design/update data models for the data warehouse. 2. Develop, test, and deploy ETL procedures and packages in SSIS and Azure Data Factory. 3. Perform performance analysis and tuning to minimize impact on operational systems. 4. Contribute to master data management initiatives and provide data flow insights. 5. Collaborate closely with architects and data team members, sharing knowledge and best practices. 6. Lead migrations from legacy systems to modern ETL architectures. 7. Document solutions, maintain code repositories, and support production incidents. **Required Skills** * Advanced T‑SQL scripting and querying. * MS SQL stack (DB, SSIS, SSRS) 2019/2022. * Azure Data Factory, Azure Fabric, and Databricks. * Batch and streaming ETL (Kafka, etc.). * SSIS development and ETL best practices. * Data warehousing concepts (DataVault, dimensional modeling). * Data modeling, storage, and access techniques. * Power BI (optional but preferred). * Big data (Hadoop) and pipeline orchestration tools (optional). * Agile/SCRUM methodology (optional). **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related field. * Certifications in MS SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, or SSIS highly desirable.
