Job Description: **Job Title:** Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Early‑career software engineer to join a fast‑growing AI‑driven fintech/healthcare startup. Will collaborate directly with technical founders, design and deliver new product features, automate processes, and integrate with patient management systems. Emphasis on rapid learning, problem‑solving, and delivering impact in a small, ambitious team. **Expectations:** - Minimum 2 + years professional coding experience. - Strong fundamentals in databases and API design. - Ability to learn Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL quickly. - Proactive, self‑motivated, and comfortable working in a face‑to‑face office environment. - Commitment to simplicity and clean solution design. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, test, and release new customer‑facing features. - Build and maintain integrations with external patient management systems. - Automate internal workflows, including AI‑based solutions. - Provide technical support and assist with onboarding new customers. - Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of the tech stack. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java). - Experience with relational databases (SQL) and building/consuming RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with version control (Git). - Strong problem‑solving mindset, quick learner, and ability to work independently. - Excellent communication skills for collaboration with founders and users. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field **or** equivalent practical experience. - No specific certifications required; demonstrated coding ability and project portfolio preferred.
