Job title: Intern- DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Entry‑level role focused on designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑based DevOps infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Interns build scalable, highly available environments across public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and support continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring for enterprise applications.
Expactations:
• Actively enrolled as a full‑time student at an accredited four‑year college or university.
• Must be able to commute and work onsite five days a week.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational communication skills.
• Available for collaboration with globally distributed teams, including time‑zone flexibility.
• Authorized to work full‑time in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop reusable DevOps components to support scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restore.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or Travis CI; integrate code analysis, testing, and release management.
• Deploy and operate services in AWS and/or Azure environments, ensuring fault tolerance and elasticity.
• Create and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates and automation scripts (Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell).
• Perform incident response, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Assist in adding new customers and users to cloud‑hosted solutions.
• Manage artifact repository tools (JFrog Artifactory) and source control systems (Git, SVN).
• Support software upgrades, installations, and configuration changes in cloud environments.
Required Skills:
• Knowledge and hands‑on experience with CI/CD practices and tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Travis CI).
• Familiarity with source control (Git, SVN) and artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory).
• Basic scripting in Python, Ruby, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
• Understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and release management concepts.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and cross‑functional team collaboration.
• Ability to work within a high‑velocity development and operations environment.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Full‑time student status at an accredited four‑year college or university.
• No specific certifications required; knowledge of DevOps tools and cloud platforms preferred.
