**Job Title:** Research Internship – Agentic AI for Human‑Robot Interaction **Role Summary:** Internally focused on research at the intersection of Human‑Robot Interaction (HRI), robotics, and agentic AI. Develop software that integrates generative AI capabilities into real‑world robot applications, creating and evaluating novel LLM‑based interaction paradigms and agentic systems. **Expectations:** - Deliver functional prototypes of agentic AI agents for robotic platforms. - Produce research‑grade evaluations of HRI interfaces and publish findings. - Translate user workflow analyses into actionable software improvements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with industrial researchers to define real‑world use cases in automated manufacturing. - Design, implement, and test agentic AI software that enhances user experience with robotics. - Conduct experiments to advance state‑of‑the‑art in HRI, robotics, and AI. - Analyze existing workflows to identify pain points and propose innovative solutions. - Contribute code and documentation to the robotics software platform, Flowstate. **Required Skills:** - Current Ph.D. student in Computer Science, Robotics, or a closely related discipline. - Proficiency in Python and general software development practices. - Experience building agentic systems or designing interactions between LLMs and robots. - Hands‑on programming of robotic applications; familiarity with physical robot hardware is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a passion for solving real‑world HRI and robotics challenges. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in a Ph.D. program (Computer Science, Robotics, or related field). - No specific certifications required.
