**Job title** AI & Digital Simulation Engineer – Digital Forging (F/M) **Role Summary** Integrate deep‑learning and numerical simulation in the metal forging sector. Conduct literature reviews, operate forging simulation software, and build a Python proof‑of‑concept to optimize 3D forging geometry for reverse‑engineering and process improvement. **Expectations** - Complete comprehensive reviews of graph neural network (GNN) techniques and process‑design optimization literature. - Set up and run forging simulations in the FORGE® environment. - Design and implement a Python prototype that trains a GNN model to predict and optimize 3D forging geometry. - Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and analytics teams to align simulation results with manufacturing goals. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Perform literature surveys on GNNs and process design optimization. 2. Acquire proficiency in FORGE®; configure and run forging process simulations. 3. Develop, train, and validate a GNN‑based optimization model in Python. 4. Translate simulation outputs into actionable geometrical optimizations. 5. Document methodology, code, and results for internal reporting and future replication. 6. Maintain version control (Git) and continuous integration practices for code management. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow, pandas). - Experience with Windows and Linux operating environments. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Fundamental knowledge of 3D modeling and numerical simulation concepts. - Ability to translate complex scientific literature into actionable development tasks. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or final‑year candidacy) in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field. - Familiarity with machine‑learning frameworks and numerical simulation tools is highly desirable. ---
