**Job Title:**
Data Ops
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for automating, scaling, and maintaining data platform infrastructure for large enterprise clients. This role focuses on deploying and managing clusters, integrating observability and security tools, and delivering data streaming services with a strong emphasis on agile delivery.
**Expectations:**
Deliver reliable, automated infrastructure solutions, maintain high system availability and security, and work collaboratively within a cross‑functional squad to iteratively improve the data platform.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Automate deployment workflows using Ansible; create and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Provision, scale (horizontal/vertical), and upgrade big‑data clusters (Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Kafka, Kubernetes).
- Build MVPs for new streaming platform components and refine them into production services.
- Integrate platform components into the broader IT ecosystem: observability, alerting, RBAC, backup, and Vault.
- Document platform offerings and user guidance.
- Translate product backlog items defined by the Squad Lead into working solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, propose mitigation strategies, and report findings.
- Participate in all squad Agile ceremonies (Retrospectives, Demos, PI Planning).
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Kubernetes, GitLab, Ansible, Vault, Artifactory.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and issue tracking (Jira).
- Strong automation and configuration management background.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate across roles.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Master’s or equivalent (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Data Ops, DevOps, or similar infrastructure role.
- (Optional but preferred) Certifications in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or related technologies.
