Job Description
Job Title: Vacant Housing Technical Coordinator Role Summary: Coordinate the technical readiness of vacant rental units, ensuring all maintenance, security, and compliance requirements are met before tenant entry or exit. Serve as primary liaison between property management, technical staff, security services, and external partners to guarantee seamless client experience and property protection. Expectations: - Deliver prompt, professional client service during tenant turnover. - Maintain high standards of organization and priority management. - Demonstrate technical competency in real‑estate operations and security systems. - Collaborate effectively across functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Inspect vacant units for defects, missing testing equipment, and damaged doors. - Manage administrative alerts from service providers regarding test failures or intrusion attempts. - Coordinate with tele‑surveillance teams and agency staff on security status. - Work with technicians to secure entrance/exit locks (EDLS) and ensure proper installation. - Liaise with Technical Advisor on order processing, security receipt, and related tasks. - Partner with Prevention Safety experts for security risk assessments. - Initiate and track maintenance, repairs, and security installations via external contractors. - Compile and forward squat incident reports to legal and EPS teams as needed. - Engage with vendors for disarmament and armament security measures. - File complaints related to property damage or vandalism. Required Skills: - Technical or real‑estate professional background. - Strong relational and customer‑service skills. - Excellent organizational and multi‑tasking abilities. - Prioritization and problem‑solving competence. - Effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. - Familiarity with property security, maintenance protocols, and compliance regulations. Required Education & Certifications: - Technical or real‑estate education (e.g., housing management, facilities engineering). - Relevant certifications in property management, building safety, or security systems preferred.
