Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Developer Intern **Role Summary:** Assist lead engineers in the design, updating, and implementation of software and systems for aviation, federal, and transmission & distribution projects. Apply standard engineering techniques and support project duties across multiple market segments. **Expectations:** - Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. - Minimum 3.0 GPA (strongly preferred). - Technical knowledge of computer equipment, storage, backups, operating systems, and relevant engineering tools. - Prior internship or consulting experience preferred. - Active participation in campus or community organizations. - Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. - Leadership potential and self‑motivated learning attitude. - Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and modify engineering systems and software components. - Correct and update existing designs and documentation. - Assist lead engineers with project planning, system design, and implementation. - Support project tasks tailored to aviation & federal or transmission & distribution markets. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure technical requirements are met. - Maintain accurate records of engineering work and progress. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency with computer hardware, storage solutions, backups, and operating systems. - Familiarity with standard engineering software and tools. - Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication. - Leadership and teamwork capabilities. - Quick learner and self‑motivated. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment in a post‑secondary program for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. - No specific certifications required.
