**Job Title:** Business Analyst (Data)
**Role Summary:**
Facilitate the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and data requirements for data‑centric initiatives. Coordinate with project managers, subject‑matter experts, and data governance leads to ensure accurate and compliant data assets. Contribute to audit readiness, process improvements, and change management related to data systems and tools.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver clear, structured requirements and governance artefacts on schedule.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and manage distributed or complex environments.
- Enable audit compliance by documenting data definitions, lineage, and stewardship actions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Elicit, analyse, and document business and data requirements, focusing on process improvement and data quality.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and feedback sessions to capture functional and data‑specific needs.
- Collaborate with PMs, local SMEs, and global data governance leads to track and deliver project artefacts.
- Document data definitions, stewardship activities, and governance decisions to support audit readiness.
- Educate and support business teams on new data tools, processes, roles, and responsibilities as part of change management.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven business analysis experience, preferably with a specialization in data governance, data quality, or stewardship.
- Strong understanding of data management principles: metadata, lineage, master data, and data quality frameworks.
- Ability to translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and governance artefacts.
- Proficient with Excel, Power BI, Visio, and data documentation platforms (e.g., Informatica).
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail; ability to manage ambiguity.
- Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., DAMA‑DCAM, BCS Business Analysis, or other data governance credentials) preferred.
