Job Description
**Job Title** Financial Risk Management Intern (Hybrid) **Role Summary** Assist Credit Risk and Underwriting teams in evaluating the financial condition and risk profile of FinTech partners across the credit portfolio. Perform financial analysis, due diligence, KYC activities, and support the preparation of risk review reports. **Expectations** - Full‑time, 10–12 week internship. - Hybrid schedule with onsite time required. - Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. - Maintain strict adherence to company policies, standards, and operating procedures. - Achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyze financial statements and calculate basic financial ratios to assess creditworthiness. - Review and evaluate processing models, merchant card, and ACH origination applications for compliance with underwriting guidelines. - Perform data quality checks on large datasets related to Sponsored Entities and processing activities. - Conduct due diligence and KYC research on prospective and existing clients. - Assist in writing and compiling financial risk reviews in Excel, Word, and other MS Office tools. - Track and follow up on incomplete financial statements with clients. - Participate in credit report reviews and less complex financial analyses under guidance. - Document findings and contribute to risk quantification reports. - Perform additional tasks as assigned. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and Word; basic Outlook proficiency. - Team player able to multitask and prioritize. - Familiarity with basic financial and business ratios. - Ability to interpret underwriting guidelines and risk models. **Required Education & Certifications** - Enrolled full‑time in a bachelor’s or master’s program (junior or senior standing) or recent graduate within the past six months. - Major must be directly related to finance, accounting, economics, risk management, or a related field. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. - Eligible to work in the United States for the internship period; no visa sponsorship required.
