Job Description
Job Title: LA Tech Rising Internship (Cybersecurity & Software Engineering) Role Summary: A paid, 10‑hour per week internship for Los Angeles County residents, offering experiential learning in either cybersecurity or software engineering. Interns work on real projects with industry mentors, attend structured workshops, mock interviews, and a community retreat, earning professional development and networking opportunities. Expactations: • Commit ~10 hours weekly, including mandatory 2‑hour virtual sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00–6:30 pm. • Attend the in‑person intern retreat and celebration ceremony. • Participate in at least two monthly professional‑development workshops. • Engage in collaborative projects and mentored learning. Key Responsibilities: • Execute technical projects aligned with chosen track under mentor supervision. • Participate actively in bi‑weekly live workshops covering technical and soft‑skill topics. • Attend and practice mock interviews and technical exercises. • Join the peer community, contribute to group exercises, and network with industry speakers. • Represent the internship program at the in‑person retreat and ceremony.
