Job Description: **Job Title**: Application Engineer **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain applications and digital solutions, focusing on webshop optimization, ERP integration, and end-user support. Collaborate with IT teams to define application architecture and ensure technical alignment with business requirements. **Expectations** 3–5 years’ experience in application development/integration. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Basic architectural experience preferred. **Key Responsibilities** - Design application architecture and technical solutions to meet business needs. - Collaborate with development/infrastructure teams for seamless system integration. - Implement functional and technical enhancements to webshop and digital platforms. - Support end users through troubleshooting, solution proposals, and issue escalation. - Maintain and evolve interfaces between external systems, partners, and internal ERP. - Propose technical improvements and ensure compliance with security/performance standards. **Required Skills** - Programming: Java, JSON, XML, SQL. - Integration: REST API experience; understanding of microservices. - Databases: Relational (SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL). Optional: NoSQL. - Cloud/Infrastructure: Basic knowledge of AWS or Azure, Docker/containers. - Tools: Linux, Git, Tomcat, HTTP/S, SFTP/AS2. Cybersecurity basics (authentication/encryption). - ERP familiarity (sales, invoicing, master data). - Languages: Proficiency in Dutch or French; working English; basic understanding of the other national language. - Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, clear technical communication, teamwork, eagerness to learn. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical qualifications. - Technical certifications (cloud, development, integration) are a plus but not mandatory. - Agile methodology experience preferred.
