Job Description

Job Title: Lead / Sr AWS DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Drive the architecture, implementation, and operational excellence of AWS-based solutions for a high‑growth, multi‑tenant platform. Lead a small DevOps team, design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high availability and secure operations across all environments. Expectations: • 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in AWS and 7 years in CI/CD. • Proven senior DevOps or technical lead role (2–3 years). • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and production support skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. Architect, deploy, and manage containerized workloads on ECS (Fargate) and EKS (optional). 2. Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using CloudFormation or CDK. 3. Design and enforce CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub, GitHub Actions, and optional Harness. 4. Manage stateful services (ElastiCache Redis, OpenSearch, Solace/ActiveMQ, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Neptune). 5. Configure global DNS with Route 53 and implement disaster‑recovery strategies (Active/Active or Active/Passive). 6. Implement monitoring and observability through Kibana, Datadog, and Dynatrace; set up alerts and dashboards. 7. Lead incident response and post‑mortem analysis; continuously improve production support processes. 8. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with development, security, and QA teams to deliver reliable, secure code. Required Skills: • AWS ECS (Fargate) • CloudFormation (or AWS CDK) • ElastiCache (Redis) • OpenSearch • Solace / ActiveMQ • GitHub & GitHub Actions • Route 53 • DR setup (Active/Active or Active/Passive) • Monitoring: Kibana / Datadog / Dynatrace Nice to Have: • Amazon EKS • Amazon DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Neptune • Harness, Quantum Metric Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). • AWS certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or equivalent. • Other DevOps or security certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Jenkins Engineer) are a plus.
