Job Description
**Job title:** Senior Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead development of IoT device software and cloud platform components for energy storage solutions. Focus on C# (.NET Core) code, cloud integrations, API design, and system reliability across a small, cross‑functional team. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality, maintainable code within sprint cycles. - Independently troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, performance, and reliability issues. - Communicate progress and technical decisions clearly to engineering, data, and battery‑management colleagues. - Contribute to a collaborative, productive team culture. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain C# code for IoT hardware firmware and cloud services. - Build and expose APIs for external data ingestion and exposure. - Monitor system health, troubleshoot faults, and ensure continuous uptime. - Collaborate with firmware, data‑analytics, and after‑sales teams to integrate requirements. - Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning. **Required Skills:** - 8+ years of C#/.NET (Core 8+) development experience. - Proficiency with Azure cloud services (e.g., App Services, Functions, IoT Hub). - Experience containerizing applications with Docker. - Strong debugging, performance tuning, and reliability‑engineering capabilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication. **Nice to Have Skills:** - Azure IoT, Microsoft Bot Framework, or related IoT services. - Familiarity with industrial protocols (CAN, Modbus). - Kubernetes orchestration and container management. - Time‑series databases (QuestDB, DuckDB, KDB+). - Programming in C++ or Python. - Proven record of delivering commercial IoT solutions. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - No mandatory certifications, but Azure or related cloud certifications are advantageous.
