Job Description
**Job Title** Release & Build Specialist **Role Summary** Drive the end‑to‑end release process for AAA games, managing code and asset repositories, maintaining robust versioning practices, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines across Linux and Windows environments. Ensure timely, high‑quality releases through proactive build monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous pipeline improvement. **Expactations** Deliver reliable releases on schedule, maintain reproducible build environments, collaborate with development and stakeholder teams, and proactively resolve build and release issues. **Key Responsibilities** - Oversee source control repositories (Perforce, Git) to guarantee integrity and accessibility. - Execute and refine continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines using TeamCity and Jenkins. - Support and troubleshoot build generation on cross‑platform cloud desktop environments (Linux, Windows). - Develop and maintain scripts (XML, PowerShell, JSON, Batch) for build automation, versioning, and deployment tasks. - Investigate build failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. - Document release procedures, build notes, and post‑mortem findings. - Coordinate release scheduling with development teams, producers, and other stakeholders. - Monitor build performance metrics and propose optimizations to improve throughput and reliability. **Required Skills** - Proficiency with source control systems: Perforce, Git. - Experience configuring and managing CI/CD tools: TeamCity, Jenkins. - Knowledge of Linux and Windows cloud desktop infrastructures. - Scripting capability in at least one language: XML, PowerShell, JSON, Batch (or equivalent). - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem resolution. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross‑departmental coordination. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Certifications in Git or Jenkins (or other relevant CI/CD tools) preferred.
