Job Description
Job Title: IT Technician Role Summary: Maintain and support the operational integrity of IT infrastructure across a multi‑site healthcare network. Provide on‑site and remote assistance to users, manage hardware and software assets, administer servers and networks, and contribute to IT projects and security awareness initiatives. Expectations: - Ensure uninterrupted IT services for all sites. - Respond promptly to user requests and emergency incidents. - Keep documentation and procedures updated. - Participate in scheduled on‑call rotations. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain PCs, servers, printers, and peripheral devices. - Administer Windows Server environments (Active Directory, GPO). - Manage network infrastructure (routing, VLANs, basic security). - Deploy and update applications and operating systems. - Monitor applications, interfaces, and network performance. - Handle user account and access rights management. - Run preventative and corrective maintenance. - Create, update, and distribute technical procedures and user guidelines. - Conduct security education and promote best practices. - Track asset inventory using GLPI. - Contribute to IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills: - Knowledge of workstation hardware architecture. - Proficiency with mainstream operating systems and office software. - Experience with Windows Server administration (AD, GPO). - Familiarity with network fundamentals, routing, VLANs, and basic security. - Understanding of virtualization technologies. - Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. - Competence in using asset management tools (e.g., GLPI). - Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. - Time‑management, prioritization, and adaptability to new technologies. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum BAC‑PRO (equivalent to high‑school diploma in IT) up to BAC+3 level. - Prior professional experience as an IT technician, preferably in a healthcare setting.
