Job Description
Job Title: Temporary Project Manager Role Summary: Lead cross‑functional project teams to develop, commercialize, and optimize consumer packaged goods (CPG) products, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and on‑strategic delivery that meets retailer timelines and internal cost/quality metrics. Expectations: * Deliver high‑impact projects within a 7‑month temporary assignment, maintaining clear communication with leadership and stakeholders. * Demonstrate ownership of product launch roll‑outs, modification processes, and transition planning for manufactured goods. Key Responsibilities: 1. Create and manage integrated project plans linking Product Development, Operations, Creative, Marketing, and Sales. 2. Conduct ad hoc financial/scenario analyses to support launch decisions. 3. Lead stage‑gate presentations for leadership approval of product launches. 4. Guide scope decisions on product changes, budgeting for obsoletes, transition windows, and retailer communication. 5. Identify and mitigate project risks; remove barriers to cross‑functional collaboration. 6. Oversee BOM setup for new launch products in partnership with Master Data Management. 7. Maintain project schedules using Gantt charts and project management software (e.g., Wrike, Asana, MS Project). Required Skills: * 5–7 years experience in CPG project management or product innovation. * Proven leadership of fast‑paced, collaborative project teams. * Deep knowledge of PM fundamentals, best practices, and project management tools. * Advanced Excel skills; experienced with Gantt charts and scheduling. * Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and contingency planning capabilities. * Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at distilling complex issues for diverse audiences. * High organization, detail orientation, and self‑motivation. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field. * PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification preferred.
