Job Description: Job Title: Head of Finance Role Summary: Strategic finance leader responsible for building and scaling the financial function of a fast‑growing fintech startup. Works directly with the CEO to drive enterprise planning, capital structure, fundraising, and operational decision‑making. Expactations: - 1st finance hire, ownership of financial strategy from inception to growth phase. - Thought partner to senior leadership; influence pricing, unit economics, and investment decisions. - Operate with high ambiguity, establishing scalable processes and governance. - Deliver clear insights that shape business strategy and execution. Key Responsibilities: - Own company‑wide financial planning, forecasting, and long‑term modeling. - Construct and maintain debt and capital structure models to support growth initiatives. - Lead strategic planning with CEO on pricing, unit economics, and scalability. - Prepare and support fundraising materials, financial models, and investor diligence. - Translate financial data into actionable insights for operating and strategic teams. - Coordinate cross‑functional improvement initiatives with operations, product, and leadership. - Establish scalable financial processes and infrastructure as the business expands. - Supervise light accounting functions, likely with external support. Required Skills: - Strong financial modeling and analytical expertise, including debt and capital structure modeling. - Background in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, strategic in‑house finance, or management consulting at high‑growth companies. - Strategic mindset with capability to think broadly and execute operationally. - Comfortable working in ambiguity and building processes from scratch. - Excellent communication skills; able to influence and partner with senior leadership. - Passion for using finance as a growth driver rather than purely reporting.
