Job Description

**Job Title:** Software Development Engineer – Industrial Vision Systems (M/F) **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end software solutions for automated defect detection in continuous production lines. Work across the full product lifecycle—from requirement specification to deployment—within an industrial vision and Industry 4.0 context, focusing on robust front‑end UX/UI, scalable back‑end services, and reliable data management. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality code that meets functional and performance requirements. - Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (hardware, systems, operations). - Adapt to evolving technologies and continuously improve product usability and reliability. **Key Responsibilities:** - Specify and model digital image and data flow requirements. - Design, prototype, and develop ergonomic front‑end interfaces (UI/UX). - Build and extend back‑end services in Java, ensuring integration with Industry 4.0 communication layers. - Manage relational database design, evolution, and maintenance (SQL). - Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support production deployments. - Document implementation details and provide internal training materials. - Participate in internal support and troubleshooting activities. - Contribute to ongoing improvement programs (UX refinement, performance tuning). **Required Skills:** - Object‑orientated programming in Java (advanced). - Proficiency with SQL and relational database design. - Front‑end development experience (Vue.js, React, or equivalent), with a focus on intuitive UX/UI. - Knowledge of Industry 4.0 protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, etc.) and system integration. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and spoken English. - Team‑player mindset with clear communication and self‑directed organization. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Prior experience or coursework in image processing, industrial automation, or vision systems is advantageous.
