Job Description
Job Title: Senior Finance Business Partner Role Summary: Lead financial analysis, oversight, and transformation for non‑production cost centres on a 3‑6 month interim assignment. Own the monthly close for overheads, drive budget and forecast cycles, and redesign reporting frameworks to enhance clarity, efficiency, and decision‑making. Expectations: - Deliver accurate, timely financial insights and commentary. - Challenge and optimise spend, implement process improvements, and establish robust controls. - Operate independently, take ownership, and influence senior finance leadership and department heads. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with support functions to provide financial insight, challenge spending decisions, and support strategic planning. - Own the monthly overhead close process, ensuring accurate accruals, deferrals, and variance reporting. - Produce actionable commentary that explains performance, highlights risks, and recommends corrective actions. - Lead budget setting, quarterly reforecasting, and introduce driver‑based logic and scenario modelling. - Review, redesign, and standardise overhead reporting frameworks, templates, and controls. - Automate manual tasks and reduce error and rework. Required Skills: - Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or Senior Management Accountant managing OPEX across multiple cost centres. - Strong technical accounting, month‑end process, forecasting, and variance analysis skills. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication; ability to translate complex finance into business‑friendly language. - Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with large, complex datasets. - Experience with Power BI or similar visualisation tools (desirable). - Background in finance transformation, systems implementation, or process redesign (desirable). Required Education & Certifications: - Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is beneficial but not mandatory if experience is strong.
