Job Description
**Job title** Vision Engineer **Role Summary** Design, deploy, and support machine vision systems for automated inspection in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Medical Device, FMCG, and Food manufacturing. Collaborate with end‑users, controls engineers, and software developers to deliver end‑to‑end vision solutions, ensuring optimal image quality, reliability, and throughput. Provide onsite commissioning, training, and ongoing technical support while continuously improving system performance. **Expectations** - Own vision projects from concept to delivery across EU and potential global sites. - Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues post‑installation. - Deliver measurable improvements in defect detection accuracy and inspection speed. - Maintain high‑quality technical documentation and conduct operator training. - Communicate progress and solutions clearly to cross‑functional teams and customers. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and specify vision hardware (cameras, optics, lighting) and software pipelines. - Integrate vision modules with broader automation platforms. - Install, calibrate, and validate systems onsite; configure industry software (e.g., Cognex, Halcon, MVTec, Zebra). - Diagnose faults using logs, diagnostics, and structured testing. - Monitor production performance, identify enhancement opportunities, and implement algorithm or lighting adjustments. - Author technical documentation and deliver basic user and maintenance training. - Collaborate with controls, software, and project engineering teams for seamless integration. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and independent decision‑making. - Proficiency in vision software development (Cognex Insight Vision, HALCON, MVTec, Zebra). - Programming experience in C#, C++, Python, or JavaScript. - Knowledge of image acquisition, filtering, segmentation, and data processing workflows. - Familiarity with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, VPN). - Version control with Git or equivalent. - Excellent communication and teamwork. - Ability to adopt new technologies quickly and deliver customer‑specific solutions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications in vision system design or industrial automation are desirable but not mandatory.
