Job Description

Job title: Senior Machine Learning Scientist Role Summary: Lead the development of machine‑learning solutions for molecular design and property prediction. Build end‑to‑end pipelines from data curation to model deployment, focusing on both traditional cheminformatics models and advanced deep‑learning architectures for small and large biomolecules. Expectations: - Deliver robust, high‑performance predictive models for binding affinity, pharmacokinetics, and generative chemistry. - Translate experimental data into actionable insights for drug discovery. - Maintain cutting‑edge knowledge of machine‑learning advances in chemistry. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain data processing and curation pipelines for experimental datasets. - Develop, train, and evaluate models using Random Forests, SVMs, Gaussian Processes, graph convolutional networks, and transformer‑based language models. - Apply models to virtual screening and de‑novo generation workflows (e.g., BoltzGen, Bindcraft). - Collaborate closely with experimental scientists and stakeholders to refine models and deliver predictions. - Stay current with emerging research and integrate novel algorithms into production pipelines. Required Skills: - Proficient Python programming. - Hands‑on experience with cheminformatics libraries (RDKit, OpenEye). - Expertise in deep‑learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow). - Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and prioritization abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: - B.S. in computer science, chemistry, mathematics, or related field with ≥6 years industry experience, **or** - Ph.D. in the same disciplines with ≥4 years pharmaceutical/biotech or comparable post‑graduate research experience.
