Job Title: Data Product Manager
Role Summary
Lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of data products—data platforms, dashboards, pipelines, and analytics solutions—aligning them with business objectives and ensuring delivery of reliable, high‑value data assets across the organization. Serve as the primary liaison between business owners, data engineers, analysts, and leadership to prioritize, build, and scale data initiatives that enable data‑driven decision making.
Expectations
* Own product strategy, roadmap, and backlog for one or more data solutions.
* Translate strategic business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and project artifacts.
* Prioritize data requests, balance stakeholder input, and negotiate trade‑offs.
* Champion data quality, security, governance, and scalability practices.
* Communicate progress, metrics, and insights to stakeholders and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Define product vision and success metrics (reliability, latency, adoption).
* Manage intake, prioritization, refinement, and release of data features.
* Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, scientists, and product teams to scope and deliver solutions within Agile cadences.
* Conduct acceptance testing, approve releases, and publish release notes.
* Drive adoption of new data products through training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
* Maintain and improve process diagrams, SOPs, and data documentation.
* Identify and advocate for opportunities to generate business value via data insights and automation.
Required Skills
* 3–6 years of technical product management or related data analytics experience.
* Deep understanding of data platforms: ETL/ELT, Snowflake, dbt, and modern data stacks.
* Proficiency with data visualization tools (Looker) and ability to deliver actionable insights.
* Strong SQL skills.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks, JIRA, Confluence, and documentation tools (Lucidchart, Visio).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Familiarity with data governance, MDM, data quality frameworks, and data cataloging tools (Collibra, Atlan, Informatica).
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and regulated domains such as healthcare or finance (desirable).
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* Proven experience leading data and analytics projects, with a portfolio of successful data product deliveries.
