Job Description

Job Title: ServiceNow Software Engineer (Top Secret Clearance) Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain a secure, high-performance custom Scoped Application on ServiceNow for the Department of Defense (DoD), translating complex user stories into robust, scalable solutions while ensuring compliance with DoD RMF and DISA STIG standards. Expectations: • Possess an active Top Secret clearance. • Deliver secure, scalable code in an Agile environment. • Demonstrate deep expertise in ServiceNow custom development and federal security requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Build and sustain custom scoped applications using ServiceNow platform tools. - Translate user stories into maintainable code, including workflows, UI pages, script includes, and custom components. - Collaborate with UI/UX designers and stakeholders to deliver intuitive user experiences for DoD analysts. - Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement robust bug fixes. - Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs; use ServiceNow Integration Hub for secure, reliable integrations. - Apply DevSecOps practices, writing secure code that meets DoD RMF and DISA STIG. - Actively participate in Agile SDLC activities: Sprint Planning, Peer Reviews, and team collaboration. - Support Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process, ensuring technical compliance with security controls. Required Skills: - 5+ years ServiceNow development experience focused on custom application development. - Proficiency with ServiceNow App Engine/Public Sector Digital Services; familiarity with federal/DoD environments. - Strong API development/consumption (REST/SOAP) and Integration Hub experience. - Expertise in JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML/CSS; adherence to ServiceNow best practices. - Knowledge of DoD security policies, RMF/ATO process, and secure code development. - Experience with multiple security enclaves (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS) is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred. - Additional certifications in Performance Analytics or scoped application development are desirable.
