Job Description
**Job Title** Registered Nurse – Oncology (Day Shift) **Role Summary** Provide nursing care in an oncology outpatient and inpatient setting, focusing on chemotherapy administration, patient monitoring, and education. Work 4 days a week during day shifts, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support adult cancer patients. **Expectations** - Deliver safe, high‑quality care in a dynamic oncology environment. - Maintain professional standards of hygiene, asepsis, and patient safety. - Communicate findings and care plans clearly to physicians, staff, and patients. - Demonstrate compassion, resilience, and the ability to make timely clinical decisions. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Administer prescribed chemotherapies and support medication management. 2. Perform nursing assessments, observe clinical indicators, and document patient status accurately. 3. Provide relational care, emotional support, and direct interventions for patients. 4. Collect, record, and transmit patient health data via written reports and oral hand‑offs. 5. Assist with specialized procedures and interventions within the oncology domain. 6. Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, side‑effect management, and self‑care. 7. Develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor action plans, and adjust interventions as needed. 8. Enforce and uphold infection control and aseptic practices. 9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement. **Required Skills** - Clinical expertise in oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with patients. - Proficiency in health‑record documentation and data management. - Decision‑making ability under pressure; adaptability to fast‑changing clinical situations. - Teamwork orientation and collaborative attitude. **Required Education & Certifications** - Registered Nurse (Licensed RN) with a valid nursing diploma. - Oncology nursing experience (preferred). - Certification in oncology nursing (e.g., AACN COnC) is desirable but not mandatory. ---
