About the Company

Homes for America (HFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and preserving quality, affordable housing communities that foster resident success and well-being. Since its founding in 1994, HFA has been a pivotal force in the Mid-Atlantic region, focusing primarily on Maryland and expanding efforts in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. With a mission to provide stable, service-enriched housing, HFA connects residents with essential services and opportunities, ensuring they live with dignity and respect.

Our approach is rooted in a holistic understanding of housing as more than just a physical space. At HFA, we believe a home should support health, education, and economic stability. This philosophy drives us to offer a range of resident services, including health and wellness programs, financial assistance, educational opportunities, and community connectivity initiatives. Our Service-Enhanced Housing model ensures that residents are active participants in shaping the programs and services available in their communities.

HFA is committed to creating inclusive communities where every resident feels safe, respected, and supported. We strive to create inclusive communities where every resident feels safe, respected, and supported. Our development projects prioritize sustainability and environmental stewardship, aligning with our goals to reduce our ecological footprint and build climate-resilient communities. By leveraging partnerships with public, private, and community-based agencies, we provide comprehensive support that enhances residents' quality of life.

As we continue to grow and evolve, HFA remains focused on its core values: resident-centered decision-making, high-quality services, dismantling structural racism in housing, and fiscal responsibility. Our dedication to these principles ensures that we not only meet the housing needs of today but also pave the way for a brighter, more equitable future for all our residents.
