Job title: DevOps Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Design, provision, secure, and optimize Harbor’s hybrid cloud infrastructure using IaC, CI/CD, and security best practices, ensuring high availability, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Expactations: Deliver reliable cloud services, lead automation initiatives, maintain security posture, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate cross‑functionally to advance technology standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS and on‑prem resources (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM).
- Implement IaC with GitHub, Pulumi, or CloudFormation; maintain version control.
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines, integrating security scanning and compliance checks.
- Apply IAM, encryption, XDR, SIEM, and logging best practices; collaborate with InfoSec for compliance.
- Monitor and log using CloudWatch, LogicMonitor, Splunk, Orca Security; set alerts and conduct incident response.
- Patch Windows/Linux systems, manage backup/DR, enforce policy via SSM, Cloud Custodian.
- Participate in weekly on‑call rotation; troubleshoot hybrid infra issues.
- Recommend and adopt new tools/frameworks to improve automation, performance, and reliability.
- Document architecture, standards, and procedures for knowledge transfer.
Required Skills:
- 3–5 years of cloud, networking, or systems engineering with DevOps exposure.
- Deep AWS expertise (compute, storage, networking, databases, security services).
- IaC proficiency (Pulumi, CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, Bash, Node.js).
- CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
- Strong grasp of IAM, SIEM, SASE, and security integration in pipelines.
- Monitoring/logging skills (CloudWatch, LogicMonitor, Splunk, Orca Security).
- Excellent communication, proactive problem solving, and adaptability in fast‑paced environments.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate (preferred).
- Experience in regulated/financial industry environments (plus).
