Job Title: Core Network Infrastructure Engineer (M/F)
Role Summary
Design, deploy, and evolve the core network architecture for a global IT infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable connectivity across firewalls, WAN, cloud, and proxy solutions.
Expectations
Minimum 5 years of experience in complex, international network environments. Strong technical knowledge of firewall, proxy, WAN, and cloud technologies, with proven project engineering skills. Functional English proficiency required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architect and implement core network solutions, including firewalls, WAN connectivity, proxy, and reverse proxy/load balancer systems.
2. Deploy, maintain, and upgrade firewall platforms (Check Point, NSX, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Forcepoint).
3. Manage proxy (Zscaler) and reverse proxy/load balancer deployments (Citrix ADC).
4. Lead integration and transformation projects, ensuring technical consistency with existing infrastructure.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design reviews, change management, and deployment schedules.
6. Provide Level 3 technical support: triage incidents, resolve complex issues, and document resolutions.
7. Author technical documentation for solution design, production handover, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Expertise in firewall configuration and management (Check Point, NSX, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Forcepoint).
- Proficiency with proxy solutions (Zscaler) and reverse proxy/load balancer technologies (Citrix ADC).
- Solid understanding of WAN/Internet connectivity and cloud integration.
- Project engineering capabilities: architecture design, implementation, and documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Functional English (verbal and written).
- Ability to work autonomously, manage planned outages, and support after‑hours incidents.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s (Bac+5) or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Certifications in advanced networking technologies (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco) are desirable but not mandatory.
